If you stopped at 40…this mean you plan to get NM and Hell Rushed to do Chaos Sanc runs on hell difficlty for 40-99…normally if we were 8 years back in time i would recommend this route…but Chaos Sanc runs are scarce these days and there bunch of lazy host putting lvl restriction to block low lvl from getting in nowaday(so while it use to be the greatest leveling way for 40-99 back then)…its just difficult to get a room for it now BTW, Akara in Act 1 Nightmare also sells properly sized healing potions if you go there with the expected character level (the linked guide recommends 37-43 for optimal XP gain).ġ-5 do den of evil and try getting to 5 reaching stony fieldĥ-15 do tristam runs…do bottom and middle part of the map…thats where all of the champions and uniques spawn…the upper map is a waste of time but every group you get do it anyway because lack of knowledgeĪlso dont be the dude sitting in town during tristrun room…get to the stony wp…and run to find trist entrance…KILL ALL OF THE MINIONS PACKS ON THE WAY THERE…Rakanishu gang and by any luck a minion pack or exp Shrine on the way…Minions packs grant about 5-10 time more exp than Regular mobs…do not ignore them !(minion dont equate to any mob…it literaly has the tag “minion” under the mob name) thats the ones to killĢ0-25 Tomb Runs(if there no cow room host resort to Tombs) My problem was the total amount of XP gained by clearing a map. And no, my original problem wasn’t the clear speed.
The suggested areas are ridiculously easy to clear compared to highest difficulty and act that can be accessed by the character. The vendors always gave me reasonably sized potions and every killed pack/enemy added (several pixels wide) large chunks to the experience bar. I found the linked table yesterday, went to the recommended areas to level up and reached level 40+ within a few hours. I always had to start playing by stocking up properly sized healing potions (on the shared tabs) on Normal difficulty Act 5 and then start a new game on Nightmare difficulty Act 1. Not only that, but the Nightmare Act 1 Vendor (Akara) sold me tiny healing+mana potions (30 points) when my character had 200 life and 200 mana. When I arrived at Act 1 Nightmare difficulty everything slowed down terribly, I simply didn’t gain experience by killing things. She completed normal difficulty at level 23 using full Sigon Set, The Eye of Etlich and 2x10FCR rings.
A few days ago I decided to start a new (lightning) sorceress and level up and rush through the quests with her as quickly as possible. I have some experience playing D2 but not a lot: the last two months I reached level 91 with a paladin and level 90 with a sorc, my other characters are lower.
